Funding and tuition fee
To be enrolled as a PhD student, the applicant must have funding for salary and tuition fee. Please be aware of the new PhD tuition fee model at UCPH, effective from 1 January 2027.
There are different ways to finance the PhD programme. Usually, one of the below options are used or a combination of them:
- Employment as a PhD fellow at the faculty
- Employment at a hospital, institution or a company in Denmark or abroad
- Funding from Innovation Fund Denmark (Industrial PhD)
- Employment at a business-oriented institution (typically university colleges)
- Scholarship from the home country.
