Before, after and during your stay

Accommodation

Our housing office is able to offer assistance in finding accommodation. Please note that accommodation is offered for your first two semesters in Copenhagen, after which you will need to find accommodation by yourself. The housing office is, of course, able to help you in this process.

In order to provide you with an offer of accommodation, our housing office must receive an application from you no later than two months prior to your arrival in Copenhagen.

Residence and work permit

Before your arrival in Denmark, you will need to have applied for and received a residence permit from the Danish Immigration Services. The department, where you are located, can help you with the procedure and application.

Upon your arrival in Denmark you must register with the local office of the Danish National Register ("Folkeregister") in the town of your residence, and show your residence and work permit. Once registered, you will within a few weeks receive a personal registration number (CPR.-number) and a National Health certificate ("sygesikringsbevis") in the mail.

We recommend you read www.studyindenmark.dk thoroughly before your arrival, to get more information about life in Denmark.
