Assessment of students
SCIENCE provides students with information via the programme websites on KUnet, where they can find out about the rules and procedures for each individual study programme, as well as for SCIENCE programmes in general.
Curricula for the next academic year are published on 1 May on each of the subject-specific programme websites. The information and rules published on the websites are specific to the individual study programmes. The websites also describe the rules that apply to all programmes.
The course and exam rules are also published and accessible via the programme websites.
The SCIENCE rules regarding exam cheating and scientific dishonesty are based on Rules concerning disciplinary measures for students at the University of Copenhagen.
The programme websites on KUnet inform students about the rules and guidelines for exam cheating, including how it is defined and investigated, and the consequences.
The employee part of the KUnet intranet publishes the procedure for dealing with cases of exam cheating and plagiarism, as well as instructions for dealing with suspected cases.
Students have the right to lodge complaints about several types of decision, e.g. in relation to exam assessments, applications for exemptions and credit transfers. The different types of decision are subject to different procedures for complaints and appeals.
Procedures for exam complaints and appeals are available (for students) on the subject-specific programme sites and (for lecturers) on the staff part of KUnet.
Exam complaints statistics covering the number of complaints and appeals are compiled on an annual basis. These statistics are included in programme reports and programme evaluations and also form part of the other management information.
