Short description of the thesis

Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) are highly prevalent in transcription, where they play important roles in regulating gene expression. When their function is disrupted, they can contribute to a range of serious diseases. Despite their importance, IDPs remain a relatively new and incompletely understood field of research. This PhD work investigates how different types of molecular determinants influence the binding and competition between transcription factors. By exploring these interactions, the research provides new insights into how IDPs function and how transcription is regulated at the molecular level. These findings contribute to a broader understanding of the complex mechanisms underlying gene regulation and disease.
