Short description of the thesis
How can nature experiences support health and wellbeing, and how can they be made meaningful for people with different needs and ways of engaging with nature? This PhD thesis examines an audio-guided nature-based intervention for adults with mobility impairments. It explores how accessibility, guidance, attention, emotional experiences and people’s relationship with nature come together in practice. The research combines intervention development with qualitative interviews to better understand how nature-based health interventions can be designed in ways that are inclusive, flexible and relevant to different people and settings.
